Janus Pricing: Simple Plans for Growing Trade Businesses
Janus pricing is easy: unlimited users, no per-seat surprises — so your whole team is covered from day one.
When you're running one to five trucks, every dollar you spend on software has to earn its keep. Most generic CRMs charge per seat, which means your bill climbs every time you add a technician, dispatcher, or office admin. That model works fine for a 200-person SaaS company. It doesn't work for a three-truck operation trying to stay lean.
Three plans. One price per account. Everyone on your crew included.

Pay for What You Use. Nothing Hidden.
Your plan covers the software. Texting and AI call answering are billed by use, at the rates below.
Every Janus plan includes the tools to capture, track and follow up on every lead. The two things that cost us real money every time they run, text messages and AI-answered calls, are billed by use. A slow month costs less. A busy month costs a little more. And you can see exactly where you stand anytime.
Texting
200 texts a month, included on every plan.
Appointment confirmations, reminders, review requests, internal notifications and missed-call text-backs all count toward your 200.
After that:
$0.04 per text message
$0.05 per picture message
$3.99 monthly charge per phone line (Texting campaign carrier charge $1.71 + phone line rental $2.28)
Your first texting registration is on us.
Carriers require every business that texts customers to register first. This is called 10DLC registration. We file the paperwork for your first registration at no cost, so your texts actually get delivered. Each additional registration is $22.23, charged before we file it.
AI Call Answering
Billed by the minute, from the first minute.
When you’re on a roof or under a sink, the AI answers, books the appointment or transfers the emergency to you. You pay only for the minutes it spends on the phone.
Rate: our provider’s cost plus 14%
Never more than $0.30 a minute
Example: a 3-minute call costs no more than $0.90
That’s less than a dollar for a call that might have gone to voicemail, and then to your competitor.
How Usage Billing Works
You use it first, then you’re billed. Texts and AI minutes are charged after they happen.
Your account starts with a $25 usage limit. Each time your usage reaches $25, your card on file is charged.
After ten successful charges in a row, your limit rises, so you’re charged less often.
See your usage anytime under Settings, then Billing.
Our Done-for-you setup
Rather not set it up yourself? We’ll do it for you.
Janus is built so you can set it up on your own. If you’d rather hand it off, pick a package. It’s a one-time charge, separate from your plan. Your plan, its price and your billing date don’t change.
Full Launch sets up your main location. For every additional location, we set up the same pieces, so each one runs right and they all show up together in one view.
What we do for each location
Phone answering: set up the location’s phone line, AI receptionist and missed-call text-back, with that location’s hours, address, service area and emergency contact.
Intake forms: build up to 3 forms with the location’s name and details.
Source tracking: tag the location’s Google Business Profile and any location-specific ads, so every lead shows which location and source it came from.
Scheduling and reviews: set up the location’s booking calendar, and point review requests to that location’s own Google listing, so reviews land in the right place.
Team access: create logins for that location’s crew, so each tech sees their own leads while you see everything.
Test run: place a test call and submit a test inquiry for every location, so we know it works before your customers use it.
What we need from you, for each location
Access to the location’s page on your website
Access to its Google Business Profile
Its hours, address, service area and emergency contact
The names of the crew who work there
Good to know
Each location needs a Google Business Profile. If a location doesn’t have them yet, we can talk about building them, but that’s outside this setup.
Separate businesses get their own texting registration. If a location is its own legal business, we file a separate registration for it, still at no cost to you. Carrier approval can take a little longer.
Quick Start: $299, one time
The essentials, built and working.
Your front doors, built.
A front door is your own page where a customer asks for service: who they are, what they need, where the job is. We build yours with your services, your logo and your wording.
What we need from you: your services, your hours, and who should be told when a request comes in.
What you do: we send you the links. Your webmaster, or whoever looks after your website, adds them to your site: a button, a menu item, wherever you want customers to click. We don’t make changes to your website ourselves.Missed-call text-back, set up.
When a customer calls and nobody picks up, Janus texts them back so the job doesn’t go to the next company on their list. We write the message and switch it on, ready to go.
What we need from you: the phone number your customers call.
Good to know: it starts working once the mobile carriers approve your business for texting. See the next item.Your texting registration, prepared and submitted.
Before any business can text customers, the mobile carriers require it to register. It’s their rule, not ours. We fill in the registration with you and put it in.
What we need from you: your legal business name, your EIN, your business address, your website and privacy policy page, and the name of a person at your business the carriers can contact.
Good to know: the carriers charge a one-time, non-refundable setup fee of $22.23, shown to you before you pay it. Their review usually takes about a week, and the decision is theirs.
Full Launch: $747, one time
Everything in Quick Start, plus what shows you what’s working.
Tracking on your links and ads.
Each place you advertise gets its own link: your Google listing, your ads, your yard signs, your truck. When a request comes in, Janus shows which one brought it, and later, which ones turned into paid jobs.
What we need from you: a list of where you advertise or get found.
What you do: put each link where it belongs, in the ad, on the listing, on the flyer. We give you a QR code for anything printed.
Scheduling, set up.
Customers can pick a time that suits you, instead of calling back and forth. We set your working hours and how long a visit takes.
What we need from you: the days and hours you take appointments, and how you book visits today.
What you do: connect your Google or Outlook calendar, so times you’re already busy aren’t offered. Only you can sign in to your own calendar; it takes about a minute.
Review requests, set up.
After a visit, Janus asks your customer how it went. Happy customers are sent to your Google page to leave a review. Unhappy ones come back to you first, so you can put it right.
What we need from you: your Google review link. You’ll find it in your Google Business Profile under “Get more reviews”.
Logins for your team.
Everyone who needs to see requests or jobs gets their own login, so nobody shares a password.
What we need from you: each person’s name and email address.
A check-in 30 days after launch.
A month in, we look at how your setup is doing and tell you what we’d adjust.
More than one location?
Full Launch sets up your first location. Each additional location is $150, and gets:
The same setup as your first, so every location runs the same way.
Its own services and its own Google review link, so a review for your second branch lands on that branch’s Google page, not the first one’s.
A place beside your other locations in every report, so you can compare them.
What we need from you, for each one: its name, address and phone number, the services it offers, its Google review link, and who runs it.
How it works
Buy a package from the Billing page in your account.
Answer a short set of questions about your business.
We build it. Monitor your “Setup Workspace” dashboard progress.
You finish the parts only you can do: add the links to your website and connect your calendar.
Good to know
Who can be texted. Only customers who agree to it on your request form. That’s the carriers’ rule, and ours.
A location that is its own legal business needs its own Janus account and its own texting registration.
Why unlimited users change the math for small crews. Per-seat pricing sounds harmless until you do the math. A typical CRM at $45 per seat per month costs $225/mo for five users — and that's before you've unlocked any meaningful automation. Add a field manager and you're at $270/mo for a tool that still doesn't understand the difference between a hot lead and a tire-kicker. Janus Starter is priced at $149/mo for the same five-person crew, with automated Hot/Warm/Cold lead scoring built in. The savings can be significant.
Field service lead capture pricing should reflect how field teams actually operate. Your guys aren't sitting at desks. They're on roofs, under sinks, and inside crawl spaces. Billing per seat assumes every person on your team is an active power user who needs a dedicated login. In practice, a two-truck landscaping crew might have one owner, one crew lead, and a part-time scheduler checking the pipeline. Per-seat pricing penalizes that reality. Flat plans reward it.
The ROI case is straightforward. A single captured and converted residential HVAC job averages between $300 and $800 in revenue — and higher-ticket replacements run well above $3,000. Janus's digital front door captures every missed call and web form submission, then fires an automated text-back within seconds so you're the first business the homeowner hears from. One job that would have gone to a competitor because your phone rang while you were under a crawlspace pays for the Starter plan several times over.
How Janus compares to generic CRM alternatives. Platforms like HubSpot and Zoho are designed for sales teams managing extensive B2B pipelines. Their free tiers look attractive until you need automation, at which point pricing escalates quickly and per-seat fees apply. Neither is designed around field service lead capture pricing — they don't understand missed-call recovery, job-site availability, or the difference between a quote request and a service emergency. Janus belongs to a different category: a specialist platform tailored for solo operators and small crews who win or lose business in the first five minutes after a lead comes in.
The Pro plan offers additional features for shops beginning to scale. If you're running two or three locations, or you want to push captured leads directly into an existing system you control, Pro's outbound webhook and multi-location revenue tracking give you that visibility — without rebuilding your entire workflow. For franchises and larger service operations, the Multi-Location plan at $499/mo provides enhanced functionality to manage and track performance across multiple branches seamlessly. Janus runs alongside the tools you already use; it doesn't ask you to replace them.
The next section covers exactly how those captures happen — what the digital front door looks like in action, from the moment a call goes unanswered to the moment a lead gets scored and routed to your pipeline.
Core Features: Your 24/7 Digital Front Door
Janus features address a key issue that costs solo operators and small teams money every week: a missed call is a missed job, and most leads don't call back.
The solution isn't hiring a receptionist. It's building an automated digital front door that catches every inquiry the moment it lands — whether you're on a roof at 2 PM or finishing a job site walk-through at dusk. Here's how each core feature does that work for you.
Missed-Call Text-Back: Responding When You Can't
When a prospect calls and you don't pick up, Janus sends a branded text response automatically within seconds. That message keeps the conversation alive — it tells the caller you received their inquiry and prompts them to share job details through your intake flow.
In practice, the first business to respond wins the job. 84% of Google search queries are now impacted by Search Generative Experience, which means prospects are finding you faster than ever — and expecting an equally fast response. Miss that window and you're handing the lead to whoever picks up next.
Automated Lead Scoring: High-Value Jobs Rise to the Top
Automated lead scoring for roofers and other trade pros solves the triage problem. Not every inquiry is worth the same callback urgency. Janus scores each lead based on signals like job type, location, urgency level, and how they found you — so you know whether you're looking at a full re-roof or a tire-kicker asking for a ballpark price on a single shingle.
The scoring runs automatically. You open your mobile pipeline and the high-priority leads are already flagged at the top. No spreadsheet, no gut-check guessing. As Janus product specs put it: "Janus serves as a front-end automation layer that catches, captures, and scores leads before sending them to a system you control."
Branded Estimate Pages That Win on a Phone Screen
Your estimate page is often the first thing a prospect sees after submitting a job request. Janus generates branded intake and estimate pages that display your logo, your colors, and your contact information — not generic software branding.
And because this audience is almost always on a phone, these pages are built mobile-first from the ground up. A clean, professional estimate page on a customer's screen signals that your operation is organized and trustworthy before you've said a word. That credibility gap is where small shops win or lose residential jobs.
Multi-Location Revenue Tracking for Shops With 2 or 3+ Branches
If you run more than one location — even informally, like a satellite crew that covers a neighboring county — tracking which branch is converting and which is bleeding leads matters. Janus lets you set up multiple "front doors," each with its own intake flow, lead attribution, and source tracking.
Side-by-side ROI visibility across locations means you're not guessing which territory is profitable. You can see exactly which job source — Google, a referral, a yard sign, a Facebook ad — turned into booked revenue at each branch. That level of transparency is rare at this price point.
How Janus 'Sits in Front of' Your Existing CRM
Janus doesn't replace your scheduling tool or field-service software. It runs alongside them. Think of it as the layer that handles everything before a lead becomes a confirmed job: the intake form, the scoring, the automated response, and the UTM attribution that tells you where the lead came from.
Once a lead is qualified and scored, Pro plan users can push that lead data out via webhook to a system you control — a spreadsheet, a project management tool, or a field-service platform you already rely on. That connection is push-only and one-directional, which means Janus posts the lead out cleanly without requiring you to rebuild your existing workflow around a new system.
| Feature | What it is | Why it saves you money |
|---|---|---|
| Missed-call Text-Back | Instant branded text sent when a call goes unanswered | Keeps high-intent leads in your pipeline instead of your competitor's |
| Automated Lead Scoring | Ranks leads by job type, urgency, and source automatically | Cuts callback time on low-value inquiries; surfaces real jobs faster |
| Branded Estimate Pages | Mobile-optimized pages that display your brand, not generic software | Builds trust before first contact; reduces drop-off from first-click to quote |
| Separate front doors with per-location attribution and ROI | Separate front doors with per-location attribution and ROI | Identifies which branch — and which ad source — is earning its keep |
| UTM/Source Attribution | Tracks every lead back to the marketing channel that created it | Stops you from paying for ads that don't convert |
| Intake Wizard | Guided, branded form that collects job details upfront | Reduces back-and-forth calls; arrives prepared to every estimate |
| Mobile Pipeline | Offline-capable mobile dashboard for managing leads in the field | Full lead visibility from a job site, no laptop required |
| Automated Review Requests | Post-job review prompts sent automatically | Builds local reputation without manual follow-up |
| Pro+ Webhook | Pushes qualified leads to a system you control | Keeps your existing Field-service CRM without losing Janus's front-end speed |
Understanding how these features connect is the foundation — but the real question is how Janus stacks up against other options in the market and why the speed-to-lead advantage matters more now than it ever has before.
Janus vs. The Field: Why Trades Choose Us
When it comes to Janus vs. competitors, the core difference is simple: most tools are built for sales teams, while Janus is built for solo operators and small crews who need a digital front door that captures, scores, and responds to leads before those leads call someone else.
Other platforms in this space — general-purpose CRMs and field sales tools alike — were designed around desktop workflows, manual pipeline entry, and monthly seat counts that punish growth. For a one-truck HVAC operator or a five-person roofing crew, that model creates friction at exactly the wrong moment: when a new lead comes in and nobody's at a desk to handle it.
Janus vs. Alternatives: A Direct Comparison
The table below focuses on the capabilities that matter most to local service businesses competing on speed-to-lead.
| undefined | Janus | General Sales CRM | Field Sales Tools |
|---|---|---|---|
| Missed-call text-back for trades | Automated, instant | Manual or add-on | Not built for inbound |
| Automated lead scoring | Built in | Manual tagging only | Not available |
| Mobile pipeline | Offline capable | Mobile app, built for desktop | Mobile app, outbound-first |
| Flat plans | Starter: $149/mo. Pro: $249/mo. Multi-Location: $799/mo. | Per user pricing | Per user pricing |
| Brand estimate request pages | Local Service Business Brand Only | Generic forms | Not available |
| Automated review collection | Built in | 3rd party required | Not available |
| Runs alongside Jobber/ServiceTitan | Sits in front of your tech stack | Campaign-level only | Not available |
The pattern is consistent: general CRMs and outbound field sales tools weren't designed around the inbound missed-call problem. Janus was.
Speed to Lead Is Your 2027 SEO and GEO Strategy
Ranking in Google matters. But AI search is changing how conversions are measured, prioritizing businesses with instant response capabilities. That shift is already visible in how ChatGPT and Perplexity surface local service recommendations: they favor businesses with clear, structured digital presences and fast, consistent lead follow-up signals.
In practice, missed call text-back for trades does double work. It recovers leads in real time — a caller who gets a text response within 60 seconds is dramatically more likely to book than one who gets a voicemail. And it builds the operational consistency that AI search engines use as a trust proxy. A business that responds to every inquiry, scores every lead, and follows a structured pipeline reads as authoritative to both human prospects and AI-driven search results.
The Managing Partner Model
Janus also supports a referral partner and managing partner channel for agencies and consultants who work with home service businesses. A referral partner earns revenue share for clients they bring to Janus. A managing partner gets delegated access to run client accounts from a single login — reviewing lead pipelines, monitoring response rates, and managing follow-up workflows on behalf of their clients. Neither model is white-label; partners work inside Janus, not a rebranded version of it. And the Pro plan's outbound webhook sends every captured lead to a system you control, so partners who manage multiple accounts can route lead data into their own reporting stack.
This model works particularly well for marketing agencies and local SEO consultants who already manage Google Business Profiles and paid campaigns for trades clients. Janus sits in front of those campaigns and catches what the campaigns generate — so partners can show clients a direct line from ad spend to booked jobs.
Final Checklist: Choosing a Lead Capture Platform
Before committing to any platform, run through these criteria against your actual workflow:
Does it respond to missed calls automatically? If not, you're losing leads to whoever picks up first.
Does it score leads without manual input? Hot/Warm/Cold scoring should happen the moment a lead comes in, not when you get around to it.
Is it mobile-first, or mobile-available?There's a difference. A tool you can technically open on your phone isn't the same as one built for a crew that's never at a desk.
Does pricing scale with your crew, or penalize it? Flat plans, unlimited users is the only model that makes sense for small teams adding a second or third truck.
Does it sit in front of your existing tools, or demand you replace them? Janus runs alongside the field service management software you already use — it doesn't ask you to start over.
Can a managing partner or agency run it on your behalf? If you want outside help managing your pipeline, the platform needs to support that access model natively.
Every lead your business generates deserves a response. Janus catches, captures, and scores those leads the moment they arrive — so you stop losing jobs to a missed call or a slow follow-up. Start your free 30-day trial and put an automated digital front door in front of every campaign, every form, and every call your business receives.
